Many entrepreneurs are victims of the hustle culture, where we work ourselves to stupor every day believing that if we don't keep up with the grind, then we'll be losing out.
Unfortunately, this culture doesn't stay with us alone, we bring it to work and have the same expectations of those who work with us.
We live in an evolving world and there's always a tendency to overwork your employees, but "overworking them" and "keeping them on their toes" are two far ends of a rope.
Never been the same, and never will be.
The key difference lies in their productivity, while the former is toxic, the latter is healthy.
So how can one strike a balance?
How do you get the best out of your team without tilting to the toxic end of the "grind"?
Never attempt to get the most out of your team, only the best. Productivity is not a function of the number of tasks on a checklist but the efficiency of each task.
Second, prioritize self-care. Self-care doesn't encourage slack, it just means that you're putting the human who does the work first.
Practice steady consistency. The fact that your company is a fast-paced environment does not mean you cannot adjust the speed.
When your team is optimal, their creativity is top-notch, efficiency is almost 100%, and results, skyrocketing!
